So at the end of yesterday I was at a point in the story where I felt things were rather dull. This was making it hard to write. So instead I skipped ahead and got to a part I really wanted to write, an exciting part. This helped me take off today, and I’ve now passed the 10,000 word mark. I may even write more later today, not sure. It has put me back on track, and I’m hoping that being this is the more “interesting” part of the story I’ll get ahead of the curve for when I go back to work and my brain is mushed again.
I find also my story is diverting somewhat from what I had intended before I started. I don’t mind that much, but I had certain preconceptions about the story which I have now had to discard. That’s ok, that’s the process.
Now for the next 10,000!
